Kwame Ofosu, a commercial motor rider (okada rider) in his early 20s, has been allegedly murdered at Gomoa Afranse in the Central Region.
His decapitated body was dumped in a bush on Thursday afternoon.
The incident has made the commercial riders in the community apprehensive and incensed, vowing to avenge the death of their colleague.
Kwame Ofosu’s remains has since been deposited at the Swedru Government Hospital for autopsy and preservation.
Mr Ibrahim Obeng, the Assemblyman of the area who chanced upon the body, said the case had been reported to the police for investigation.
He said the incident was unusual in the area as the place was calm and peaceful with no security threat. He appealed to the police to expedite investigations into the case and bring the perpetrators to justice.
He also advised the riders to be more vigilant and avoid trips to secluded locations.
