Job Description
We are a reputable legal and management consulting firm based in the Labone/Cantonments area which assists public and private sector clients operating in a variety of sectors, including energy, oil and gas, banking, finance, agriculture, and human capital. We have an opening for a lawyer who will lead the legal team to ensure that the firm provides sound legal advice and high-quality professional services to its clients. You will also support the firm’s management consulting practice.
This is interesting and diverse work which will entail:
Liaising with Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
Conferring with clients, policy makers and specialists on technical and non-technical issues.
Conducting research and providing opinions and counsel regarding business transactions.
Analyzing and drafting contractual agreements.
Legislative reviews, interpretation and drafting.
Preparation, review and drafting of reports.
Leading negotiations, presentations and meetings.
Business development and growth of the firm’s client base.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualified lawyer, with solid post-call track record
Postgraduate qualifications acquired from recognized tertiary institutions.
5 – 8 years’ working experience in total.
Computer Literacy is essential (Ms Word/Excel, etc)
Experience in the job requirement areas
A sharp mind with excellent analytical, written and presentation skills.
Excellent and proactive team player with a positive attitude
Astute with a strong leadership orientation.
This is a full-time job, with extra hours on weekdays and some weekends.
