The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) Law School will on Thursday honour one of the most outstanding and consequential statesmen to have ever served the country, Nana Dr SKB Asante.
Known as the UPSA Lifetime Achievement in Law Award, the honour event has for the short period of its existence, become a prestigious recognition of statesmanship and leadership, with the accompanying citation deemed highly coveted by persons on whom it was conferred.
Last year, the award was bestowed on a retired Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana and a celebrated academic, the venerable Prof. Justice Samuel Date-Bah.
This year’s event which comes off on Thursday July 25, 2024 promises to be august in keeping with the stature of the honoree.
Accordingly, the program promises to incorporate all the pomp and circumstance of tradition and modernity, reflecting the bifocal life experience of the honoree who is both a prominent chief and an elder statesman.
